The Cowboys' concern is that things only get worse from here.

To be clear, between the lines of the football field Bryant was, for the most part, fine as a rookie. But in the classroom and around the building, aspects of the job as simple as punctuality were hard for him to grasp and got the stud receiver in plenty of trouble.

The larger issues here are that Bryant knows right from wrong and how easily he could be influenced to make the wrong decision.

Ultimately, the feeling at Valley Ranch is that the Cowboys will remain committed to Bryant, because owner Jerry Jones has built a bridge with him and is always interested in helping turn around the lives of wayward young players. But without current supervision, there are plenty of nerves regarding Bryant's ability to handle the freedom and lack of structure he's now been given.

On one hand, this is a player who would do things on the field to make Cowboys officials say, "I've never seen that before." On the other, he so clearly has what one source calls "a lack of life skills."

What's clear is that the organization wants to help him with that, and pave the way for a long career for Bryant with the team he grew up dreaming of playing for. The trouble is, for now, the Cowboys literally can offer him no help at all.

I just dont want to hear Swift bring up the Dez Bryant thing no more... I agree with him that having a talent like that on this team would have been HUGE... But at the end of the day i believe TD did the right thing,... Dude is not worth the headache or team chemistry risk because your head coach will have to have special rules for this guy...That goes bac to when Clayton said the guy comes to mettings late and this or that... They fired the WR coach because he was a yes man to Dez... Deion was on the radio today... He said Dez has done more stuff that will never see the light because the Cowboys and the state of texas is looking out for him... He was basically saying Dez dont need yes men... He needs a real mentor.

Your a funny guy atljbo same with mdrake ( funny this dude is a AUBURN fan) and his basically college program is a bunch of cheaters . We had Harry Douglas have a rape at his house and we still have Babs on our team that basically had a shit load of weed yet he is a good guy and our team is all about high character type players

Some young players coming into the league dont know how to handle there finances or responsibility ..Dez needs to grow up and find a real mentor and get his shit straighten out . I dont think he will be out of the league anytime soon

Lofton is solid but his talent level can only go so far . He is one of my fav Falcon players but his skill level /talent is lacking in pass coverage
Ryan while being a winner is not even in top 10 QBS on talent level .. we all know his short comings from avg to below avg arm , gets to much air under deep ball .

Decoud has talent ..he needs to be more consistent with his tackling but he has talent to be a top tier S

and the FA of Turner.. while Turner has been one of the key to our success his talent has been leveled off he is not the game breaker he once was as added weight to withstand the carry load he is not the explosive big game changer he was dating back ..
