RE: Defensive End
The way Charles Davis drew up our draft we take Allen Bailey who is actually better suited to 3 - 4. Yet he has Kerrigan going to KC who is better in a 4 - 3 although he is somewhat a scheme diverse player. I think if we want to get a big time end for us it has to be Kerrigan or moving up higher into the draft to get Bowers/ Quinn... Cameron Heyward is another player I'd be interested in scouting further but again he is a 3 - 4 projection. We can't afford another JA98 mistake. The way I look at it he is definitely more a 3 - 4 guy. he isn't scheme diverse. If we were in a 3 - 4 he is the sort of end I can see eating up blocks and keeping the blitzing LB coming in behind him a lot freer. He has done that quite a bit this season when playing from DT

RE: Defensive End
I feel like there is a 100% chance TD will sign a free agent DE. He knows that is our biggest issue and he knows it is very unlikely we will draft a DE that will make an impact next season, especially at the 27th pick. Even if we trade up that guy probably wont make an impact.

RE: Defensive End
I guess my question to you, MDrake, is , who did you have in mind? I like the idea of it all. We certainly have the cap room, but who would be the "DE to end all DEs"?
Edit: I like Mathias as well. I'm just wondering who else is out there. I think I read Hali would be available. I think I even read that Haloti Ngata would be a FA this year. Would it be worth it to go after him and have him and Babs mauling double teams in the middle with Abe and Bier on the outside. This is my signature. |

Of course he has Osi and Justin Tuck ahead of him. I don't really like it - dude was placed on IR Oct. 29th with a disc injury in his neck - no thanks.... |
