RE: Could we trade down with San Diego?
I would draft Titus Young at #27 before Torrey Smith. So would Mike Mayock - his top 5 Wideouts:
1) A.J. Green 2) Julio Jones 3) Titus Young 4) Jonathan Baldwin 5) Torrey Smith Right now I have Baldwin over Young - but I could be swayed to Mayock's side as i really like Titus Young - I would want to trade down 5-10 spots though and pick up some more draft value to draft Titus. |

RE: Could we trade down with San Diego?
Torrey Smith - 6'1" 205 lbs. 40: 4.37
Jerrel Jernigan - 5'9" 190 lbs. 40: 4.34 Titus Young - 5'11" 174 lbs 40: 4.43 ------------------------------------------------ With Smith you are getting height, strength, and he's literally a split second slower than Jernigan. I wish I had these guys' cone drill numbers, as those are more telling for the skill positions. It let's you know how fast they are at getting in and out of cuts and things like that. I think Smith would have the best opportunity to come in and take over as the #2 receiver. We could always take both Smith in the first and then take Young or Jernigan in the 2nd or 3rd.

Waiver wire is littered with guys with height/weight/speed "triangle numbers"...... I don't claim to be "all knowing" about Torrey Smith - but from what I have seen, I'm just not a big believer in him yet. |

I also don't like the fact that he catches with his body A LOT. H He could develop into a true WR threat, but I am also a little skeptical in picking him in the first round because of his rawness and the fact that he might be a project. Invest in the trenches with high draft picks and we will see both sides of the ball vastly improve.

RE: Could we trade down with San Diego?
I know G. All we can do is speculate. I see why you like Titus, because he is the receiver out of the class that is drawing the most comparisons to Desean Jackson. I don't know. I'm not really too concerned with our WR corps as much as I am our running game.

I'm open to the idea of drafting DeMarco Murray - just hoping we can wait until 3rd/4th to secure the RB - and maybe he would last that long - although doubtful that he would. |
