I don't see a change in Mularkey. He has been a good OC for quite some time. However, it should be noted that the offense started to become "less conservative" when Michael Jenkins returned to the starting lineup and Sam Baker returned to form.

Coincidence? Perhaps.

Finally I think Mularkey woke up before Ravens game and decided Matt Ryan was a stud that could carry this team and Matty Ice threw the ball almost 50 times. Now he's throwing it more - passing game is opening up the running game and Falcons offense is not so predictable - i think Falcons were too vanilla for a long time which made them easy to defend.

I give Mike Mularkey all the credit in the world for the great offense now.
I also give Mike Mularkey all the blame in the world when the offense was stagnating.

i think Coach Smith gave him a very rude awakening Before the Ravens game. And I'm very glad that he did. now if Matty and Roddy/HD can get the timing down on those long downfield throws.....
