40 times are really pretty stupid. Anybody remember that WR the Raiders picked before Crabtree who ran the fastest 40 time? I dont.

yeah, 40 times really are overrated. Darius Heyward-Bey is the guy that the Raiduhs drafted #7 overall who has been nothing short of underwhelming so far in his two NFL seasons. Jeremy Maclin was the better prospect and he has had a much better career.

Zodiac and others are trying to kill Titus Young now because of the official 40 time of 4.53. I don't think its a tremendous deal - you only get two shots at it and if you just make a slight mistake it can cost you 10/100'ths of a second easily.

Titus Young is a guy that is more quick than fast and I would gladly take him - if we can get him with a 2nd or 3rd versus our 1st rounder - so much the better.

Yep.

the 40s are a bit overrated. but they can determine quite a bit. In TYs case, aka Im Harry Douglas.

Dimitroff admitted last year that they dont take combine performances seriously. They use it mostly for the interview process.
