Combine WR winners/losers
1st off the Guys who helped their stock

Edmund Gates- He wasn't full speed during the drills and his fundamentals are still very questionable, but running a 4.37 and a 10'10" Broad Jump certainly didn't hurt his stock

Julio Jones- I'm pretty sure Al Davis had a heart attack somewhere during Jones performance. He ran an unexpected 4.39 Offical time, and 11'3" Broad Jump and a 38 Vertical jump, not to mention how fluid he looked during the drills.

Leonard Hankerson- Generally considered a possesion guy with good after the catch skills. Hankerson Did well on everything except the Gauntlet, running a 4.43 40 time, getting a 36 inch vert, and looked fluid on most of the drills.

Dane Sazenbacher- He was at the top of anything that Cone or Shuttle in front of it, the dude is starting to look like an epitome slot reciever.

Jeff Maheal- As the saying goes anything you can do I can do better. Maehl did this to Sazenbacher all day, finishing first in the 3 Cone and Both Shuttles, much like Sazenbacher he'll be a good slot guy.

Jon Baldwin- You may think I'm homering this, but i'm not, Much like Julio Baldwin blew the doors off the combine, he handled the NFLN and Presser interviews very well, Had the highest Vert a 42", finished 4th in the Broad Jump with 10'10", getting 20 Bench Reps, and ran an offical 4.5 flat. However he still needs to work on his route running, he also fell down during the gauntlet, ofcourse none of us saw this funny faceplant because Cam newtons very important Broad Jump had to be shown.

Now For the Losers

Titus Young- Well where do I start, he said he'd run a 4.35, well he was close he ran an offical 4.53, which is pretty horrendous for someone like him. He did't even run on most of the drills instead he Jogged especially during the Gauntlet to make sure he caught the ball. Acctually he wasn't a top performer in anything. He did run some good routes and make a few good catches though. He pretty much undid everything he gained at the senior bowl and did even more damage.

Greg Little- At first he seems like a winner, than it starts getting out that he might've lied in every interview he had. Umm yea, I don't think lieing to your future employer is going to help you Greg. If anythign it'll hurt you very very badly.

Torrey Smith- He had great measurables, an honestly looked good, until they asked him to run something that wasn't some type of vertical route. He may have lost this battle, but if he can get his route running worked out by his pro-day we may look back at this and say it's a win.

DeAndre Brown- The big guy from USM underwhelmed, with a very slow 40 time, he looked somewhat ok running routes, but not really. He wasn't a top performer in the Vert either, which for a big man hurts bad. He also underwhelemd on the Broad Jump. He Has a lot to work on before he's NFL ready, for a man his size his measurables didn't live up to it, niether did his drill work either.

Vincent Brown- Yea he ran a 4.66, this is from another guy that was supposed to be a deep threat... Yea.. um no.. your not at all anymore. Much like young he was overhyped during senior bowl practices doing drills with no pads on.. hmmm. Funny how that works.

Where do people keep getting the 4.53 for Titus Young? He ran a 4.43 from every source I've found.

That's Unoffical, they don't release all the offical times until it's over for one he's not listed on the top performer list on nfl.com/combine for WR 40 yrd dash (Baldwin is at a 4.5) and one of the guys on the other board, I think JBO caught it on the tv that he was a 4.53, I think walterfootball has it too.

Release was a bad term, The dont compile all of them and put them in order until the combine is over thats what im saying.

"Titus Young has been called a "poor man's DeSean Jackson." Jackson ran a 4.31 at the 2008 NFL Combine. Young managed just a 4.43 on Sunday. He's still a very good prospect, but his chances of going in the first round have pretty much diminished." - Walterfootball

Damn good point. Can't find a single place saying anything about 4.43.

Why does NFL.com hide all this damn info?

I mean check the forums, for some reason Walter only uses unoffical times, thats why he has Baldwin listed a 4.45

Rotoworld's write up:

"Titus Young - WR - CLG - Feb. 27 - 12:37 pm et
Boise State WR Titus Young posted unofficial 40-yard dash times of 4.43 and 4.44 at the NFL Combine on Sunday.
Times nowhere near the 4.2s he predicted he'd run. Young is clearly one of the quicker players in this year's crop of receivers, but he didn't vault himself into the first-round conversation today like he could have. He needs to run in the 4.3s at his Pro Day if he wants to keep getting labeled as the next DeSean Jackson. Feb. 27 - 12:37 pm et"

waltefootball.com theres a forums button at the top left.

I'm waiting for the NFL Combine ticker to scroll back to WR 40 times. They're on OL now.
