Yep. Honestly the media is getting tiresome. I wish more people thought along your lines in regards to their sensationalism. It's sickening. Now the poor kid has to not only deal with what happened but he has to deal with it in the public eye. That's gotta be tough.

These scams are very sophisticated and frequently fool people far more worldly than Te'o.

He knew too many people involved on the tricking side.

This also came to ND's attention before the bowl game. They decided to let Teo and his Agent deal with it. That's not going well. If he can't see through this I want nothing to do with him trying to read an offense.

So he said he met her in person and now he says he never did. His dad even said she came to Hawaii. I don't believe for one second that he didn't really know what was going on. Nobody that is smart enough to get into a place like Notre Dame is that damn gullible.

I read the Deadspin article as soon as it was published. You do understand that they are in the business of getting hits on their website, right? They are nothing but a glorified blog.

He could have easily embellished things a bit because he was embarrassed that he had the affair online. And very intelligent people get scammed all the time.
