Dawgs vs. Boise Tonight 8pm ESPN
Gametime is 8pm on ESPN tonight!

Georgia Dome essentially gives UGA the home-field advantage, but it's definitely not as bad for Boise as it would be going to Athens.

Boise is missing one of their starting WR's, a big 6'4" kid, along with their starting FS. Their starting center (5'11" 287 lbs) is questionable due to off-season knee surgery and not practicing at all so far. His backup is a 6'0" 285 lb sophmore who hasn't played a snap of college football. And he will be going up against NT's Geathers and Jenkins who are both 6'5" 350 lbs.

Peterson is probably the best coach in college football and Kellen Moore is a top-5 QB, but this is the SEC and even though Boise plays fast and uses some very complex schemes, I think size is going to make a bigger difference than people realize here.

Both teams are incredibly fast, but UGA has DL's who are 6'3" to 6'5" 310 lbs to 350 lbs and LB's who are all about 6'3" 240 lbs (3-4 defense) going up against a Boise OL full of guys who are 5'11" to 6'3" 280 lbs to 300 lbs. That's got to make a difference.

Boise has fast DE's (4-3), but UGA's OL is full of guys who are 6'4"+ and 330 lbs along with a likely 1st round draft pick center.

Aaron Murray is only a sophmore (redshirt) and put up the 2nd best numbers of all QB's in the SEC last year. He's every bit as good as Kellen Moore, or will at least prove that's the case this year.

UGA's receiving corps, without AJ Green and Chris Durham, is significantly better than people realize. Marlon Brown, T. King, R. Wooten, and the freshman Malcolm Mitchell are all very good. Actually the Mitchell kid is a freak of nature, just wait and see. Add the best receiving TE in the country in Orsen Charles plus RB Isiah Crowell who has great hands and catches tons out of the backfield, and Murray will put up 4k yards. Mark it.

Crowell is special. He hasn't played a snap of college football and has a ton of pressure on his head, but with an OL full of 330 lb guys and a 270 lb fullback blocking for him, he's going to be ridiculous.

UGA's LB corpse may just prove to be tops in the nation by midseason. Jarvis Jones is better than Justin Houston, and Alec Ogletree is better than Dent. CB Brandon Boykin might just be a 1st or 2nd rounder in the draft and he holds the NCAA record for KR's/PR's already and he still has another year to go. The secondary is filled with guys who can run 4.3x 40's. Tackling is their only problem, but hopfully they've corrected that problem from last year.

I'm betting UGA 34, Boise 24.

God I would love to not have to hear about Boise St. all season. Until theres some type of playoff in college football, I dont want to hear shit about these scrub ass schools with soft schedules not getting any respect. What I'm saying is, even though I'm a Tech fan I'd love to see the Dawgs demolish them and end any season long speculation about who is worthy or not.

That's commitment.

Here's to beating Boise St. today and ripping off that damned visor next week.

UGA has to beat Boise St.. Richt needs to be fired if not. Mark Richt has plenty of talent to take on this team. No excuses. I'm so sick of seeing all that wasted talent making boneheaded mistakes all over the field and off because of his soft coaching style.

I don't really like Boise, nor any other college team, but I don't like the Dawgs.

What I'm getting at is... GO BOISE! and boo Dawgs!
