Van Gorder backed out on the Auburn deal. He will be coaching at San Fernando Valley CC.

And 19th isn't great, but it's not 27th either. Which was my only point, which was somehow contested.

I was just being ultra-technical the way I illustrated it.

There's 18 teams with more sacks than us and only 9 teams with less sacks than us.

Saying we're 19th out of 32 simply makes it sound better than we really were.

It should never, ever, ever be calculated in any other manner than how the link above illustrates it to be. We're tied for 19th in sacks.

You guys realize Del Rio has a shot at this job. I wouldn't mind that, he coaches LB's well and had success as a DC. He just isn't the type of guy who is HC material.

Correct.

But again, it's still misleading. The Falcons are in the bottom 37% in sacks, which is not good at all.

Ok, I've calmed down and thought about it. I'm excited about his hire at Auburn. He's clearly in his element in the college game and will be a huge boost for recruiting.

Laughably, and not surprisingly, UGA fans on the other board immediately retorted with "Grantham >>>> Van Gorder," and "Van Gorder had Pollack and Davis, of course he had a good defense with those guys." Pathetic, lol.
