College: Arkansas just gained my respect

I know nothing about the University of Arkansas. My prejudice would believe that it is just another piece of crap redneck college claiming to provide higher education in order to provide quality football entertainment.

My opinion has been changed. They fired the least respectable football coach I know. They did so despite an impressive show of support from the football fans of Arkansas. That takes a lot of guts and integrity.

I will say this right now, if my son ( a junior in high school) where to tell me that he wanted to go to the U of Arkansas, I would shake his hand and feel proud.

The chasing tail doesn't bother me, it's the lack of honor and integrity that gets to me. Bobby Petrino is not a man. He is a piece of garbage.

My opinion of Arkansas hasn't changed all that much. They had to know what they were getting when they hired this mofo. Using the 'with cause' clause let's them cover their butts on that mistake but let's see how they operate their program going forward before erecting any statues or turning any of our children into hogs.

Well, fortunately, none of my kids have an interest in Arkansas, but you know what I mean. The Razorbacks are in the SEC and they were on the threshold of winning a championship. They made a decision that puts all of that at risk. I admire them for that.

Umm.. not so much. They knew what they getting themselves into. You hire a lier and then get disappointed when he lies to you? You knowingly seek a coach who is in the middle of a season and schedule a midnight press conference on the day he quits? Cmon

This. They're no longer my most hated school, but I'm not gonna give them props for divorcing that asshole when they were his mistress just 4 years ago.

All of this is true, but folks can mend their ways. I prefer to give them credit for doing something right.
