He is very replaceable. He was never that great. He was good/decent, but every NFL team has a good/decent safety.

Fair point. but... Who will replace him. I mean if they are happy with Decoud and Moore than that is great but if one of those 2 goes down... Is Schillenger's recovery going that well that they are comfortable with him as quality depth behind either. Is one of the guys we had on the PS squad gonna be stepping up or will we look to draft/FA.

It's an interesting situation, and I am sure that part of it is to do with Coleman realising that he now handed of the Honour Guard to the young guys. But that he himself is still young enough to have a few more years in the league. I hope it works out well for all involved.

If it does happen, I think it all has to do with the 2.5 million dollar salary. While he would be great depth, I just don't see paying him that money to ride the pines. Especially if you have plans of resigning the majority of the current Falcons free agents or signing one or two big name free agents, or both.

Happy trails to Coleman. I always liked Erik. Roto doesn't seem to think he will be a starter, so maybe we can try to get him for backup money. I'm not sure if they plan on drafting another guy or if we have someone on the roster who will be backup. I think Coleman would be great to backup both positions. But being a backup for two positions doesn't warrant $2.5 million.

Bush turned some heads in training camp, and he's back with the team since Shann went down. Maybe he's shown enough in a few weeks of practice to make the coaching staff comfortable without Coleman as a backup.

Yall keep saying what happens if Moore/Decoud goes down, but that doesn't matter. If we need to cut him to free up money to re-sign one of our other FA's who are starters, that's how TD will spend the money. We can sign a backup safety elsewhere. I'd rather ensure Grimes, Clabo and Snelling are re-signed.
