He stayed waaay too far back. When the defense is sending 7, you are counting on the QB throwing the ball right away. Moore has to be up there to make that hit as soon as the ball is caught.

Shipley didn't even run any kind of route. When the ball was snapped, he just casually trotted across the line of scrimmage and waited for the ball. Once he had it with Moore still 5 yards away from him, it was all over.
