Christopher Owens - evaluation
What is the general opinion of Owen's performance filling in for Dunta yesterday?

He got burned a couple of times.

He could have done better, but I say the same for Dunta in the games he played.......

RE: Christopher Owens - evaluation
he was playing out of position. asking him not to get burned is like asking brian finneran to be a 100 catch 1500 yd 20 td guy

RE: Christopher Owens - evaluation
It seemed like he gave up about 20 receptions, and they were all easy. I'd say he had a very bad day.

Carson Palmer threw for 412 yards. From the stats I have to say that our Passing Defense wasnt very good at all.

RE: Christopher Owens - evaluation
I'm not so sure he performed all that great. (I seen a few others saying he filled in great, even the broadcasters said he was doing a great job.) But when I was watching the game, I noticed that Grimes was putting up all game long. He gave up a few catches, no doubt. But he wasn't getting burned like Owens was. Then again, I can't say that Dunta has played any better this season.

And better yet, I can't really rate Owens on yesterday. I think he played mediocre at best, but he was going against two of the best receivers in the league, T.O. and OchoCinco. (Washed up as they may be, as everyone says, they are still great receivers.) So basically, no matter who he was lined up against on the field, he never had a break. He doesn't seem to have the speed to keep up with the better receivers of the league. Nickel corner at best.

And this is coming from an Owens hugger.

No, it was terrible. Mostly their game plan was to throw right at Owens all day and throw stuff over the middle where Spoon would normally be patrollling.

They did get 67 yards on the all out blitz where Moore just..........I don't know what the hell he was doing.......but it ended up in a Shipley 67 yard TD.

I'll tell you exactly what Moore was doing, he was making a rookie mistake. Still can't help but remind everyone that, yes, Moore was drafted before last season. But he didn't play all season, he's still a rookie at heart. He'll stop making those types of dumb plays soon enough.

RE: Christopher Owens - evaluation
Well, because we came away with the win, I'm fine with that one. He hasn't made many as you said, and the important part about it is that he will learn from that one. Especially as it gave up the touchdown. I can imagine that the coaches have already covered that one with him!
