Checked out the Saints forum.
Here are some tidbits that I found:
Quote:Many Saints fans are obsessed with hating ATL. Others hate the Bucs and the Vikings have returned as one of our rivals, but they're far away. Personally, I don't care about the Bucs. The falcons, I despise, but not like most everyone else because aside from a fluke year or two, they've been essentially worthless bums. They come to town and wear their junky junk and talk smack, but they're just a bunch of losers. Look-a-like thread (this is hilarious) Quote:I agree that the Falcons offense is better but the Vikings Defense is still tops in the league... so is the 49ers. I see the Falcons as being able to hang with us score for score instead of a defensive battle we have had the past 2 weeks. Quote:Your defense isn't better than Minnesota. Your offense is at this point. Quote:Minn was in the NFCCG last year. Atlanta? Quote:I think it comes down to Matt Ryan. The thing about Matt is, it seems like he doesn't do well with defenses that throw a lot at him (see the Steelers game). I think he is a good QB, but still has a lot to learn as far as read defenses and making good decision. I have no doubt GW will show him multiple looks of the **** that Matt has probably not seen on tape, and when Matt is in those situation, he seems to get nervous. Add that to the Dome noise and its not a good situation. Quote:I think the biggest match up, is like you said, is in the trenches. If Brees has time to throw, he can light up any D, but he didn't have that yesterday. As Saints fans, we have to naturally be worried about Turner, even if he hasn't looked to hot so far. I think Greer will shut down Roddy (hopefully we don't have to deal with another non-call for Ofeensive PI there), and iwe have to keep Gonzales in check. Quote:The thing that worries me is coming off of a short week from such a physical game. Last year after we lost to the Cowboys, I thought we would come out and stomp the Bucs, which we did at first, but then we fell extremely flat. I just hope that doesn't happen again. Quote:Atlanta Fan. Its interesting how you can actually consider your team "much" or "much much" better than any team, much less the 49ers or Vikings. Saints fans would not even use those words to make such claims. We tend to be more realistic as opposed to delusional or idealistic. More importantly, the present Atlanta team has no track record of being able to make claims of being "much" better than anybody. And because there is no real history, there lies the delusion. Its symptomatic of supporting a team that continues to be good on paper or according to talking heads in the national media. Quote:Well you aren't a homer just delusional. Quote:Falcons with Matt Ryan at QB are 14-1 at home. (2010: Blowout win v. AZ, Ryan: 3TD, 0 INTs) Quote:Im not being a homer either when I say that I think our offense explodes this weekend. We are due to have a Saints-esque offensive day. LOL Quote:I think it's as simple to say that the Saints are in a great position because we are one of those elite teams that do not HAVE to come out and perform our GREATEST each game to win it. The past 2 games being prime examples. What? Quote:If the 49ers play the way they did last night for the rest of the season, theres no doubt in my mind that they will be in the playoffs. HA Quote:All that having been said, I think our O wakes up this week and drops in excess of 35 on you guys. Our D will be as stingy as it has been the first two weeks, and your clowns don't even sniff the endzone. Quote:I think we will win. Division rival, at home, still haven't seen the offense show up. I see us doing everything we can to give it to Atlanta, who hasn't yet seen anything close to our offense this year. And with all that inexperience on that D, Brees and company should have a field day. Atlanta will have to get pressure up the middle and keep it close so Turner and Snelling can play a part. If we get a 14-point lead, that should take them out of the game and put it on Ryan. It'll be close because pretty much all of them are. But we're 7-1 against Atlanta and Atlanta with Ryan is under .500 on the road.
