Why not go by how many starts? I see no reason to count the years some QB's sat on the bench. For instance, Tony Romo had 27 wins after 39 starts and reached 30 after 44starts. But that list is counting two years on the bench .

44 starts isn't even 3 complete seasons in the NFL.

Now he is the one I looked up because he plays for the team I follow, so I am sure there are more like this.

Ryan also reached 27 wins in 39 starts but started from day one because of the QB situation.

The QB situation in Dallas was horrible, too. But Had Bledsoe not been hurt, Parcells would have started him til Drew was 93.

Both are there. The question was who reached it SOONEST and I included number of games for the very reason you stated.

Regardless - Ryan could become the QB to reach it soonest upon entering the NFL among active QBs, however, he can only tie with Brady for number of games.

They represent 2 different facts - but both are there for reference.
