y'know......I really wish we were a 3-4 team as well

DE-Jonathan Babineaux
NT-Phil Taylor (draft-2nd round - 6'4", 330lbs)
DE-Corey Peters/Peria Jerry

OLB-John Abraham
ILB-Sean Weatherspoon
ILB-Curtis Lofton
OLB-Justin Houston, Georgia (drafted - 1st round)

We could take care of it in one offseason......

I just think the 3-4 is more flexible and is better against the pass w/ more blitz packages....

I don't see John Abraham anywhere in that starting front 7 lol. He played in the Jets 3-4 I believe, so I am sure he could play in another 3-4 defense. We could also get Shaun Rogers in FA for our NT. That would allow us to stick to drafting mostly offense with our draft this year.

Because i'm not well versed on the 3-4 defense, what is the typical build/responsibilities of a 3-4 DE?

3-4 D-End is very similiar to a 4-3 D-Tackle but with a little more "run contain" responsibility in run defense. Also, looking for slightly more success in rushing the passer - but not much more.

Generally looking for longer players - prototype say 6'4"+ and 310lbs+........slightly taller versions of D-Tackles.

Oh ok cool. I was wondering how Peria Jerry was projected to be a defensive end in a 3-4 system. I guess it's just hard to picture any Defensive Tackle as a Defensive End.
