Calm before the storm
Anybody feel that way, its the calm before the storm. When its finally, lets kick this bitch. And I hope and pray the Falcons kick the 49ers right back to San Francisco.

RE: Calm before the storm
I feel calmer than I felt for last weeks game. That game I was riding on a 5 day plus adrenaline high. Didn't start feeling better until Wednesday. Totally drained.

RE: Calm before the storm
I feel more confident this week as opposed to last week. It's good to be at home. Plus we won a playoff game it's second nature now. We got this.

I did too, my boss couldn't get a rise out of me, he's a saints fan, that was hardcore for the seahawks, fun seeing him that Monday. That's the thing, I'm not like that, I hate the saints, but when they won the super bowl, I didn't hate them for it, till I heard of cheater gate. Tongue

RE: Calm before the storm
Do we feel calmer because we are confident that our team will win? Or, are we calm because we are satisfied with a play-off win?

When the play-offs began, I looked at all the scenarios and decided that I wanted the Falcons to play the Niners, for the NFC championship........ So, I am getting what I want.

I believe that the Falcons match up well with the Niners. I don't believe the "nasty, physical, Harbaugh-football" hype that ESPN producers are selling. The Niners are good. They should be respected, as worthy adversaries. But, they are not scary. Kapernick is a nice story and a very good athlete. Willis may be the best LB in the game, but he is not LT. The Smith's are very good (in streaks) and their TE is a tough match up. Having said all of that, they are not as good as the Falcons.

We will win this game and we will be worthy Super Bowl combatants. And, that is why I am feeling calm.

Hope we get the Falcons from the first half of the Seahawks game and not the team from the second half.

RE: Calm before the storm
I have been too busy all week to actually think about the game, and then my wife and I were in a child birth class all day today, meaning this is the first real opportunity I've had to think about the game tomorrow. It actually got started while driving home and listening to ESPN radio. They were talking about the 49ers and calling them "The best team we've seen in years." These were some of the lines that really aggrevated me.

"When you look at the matchups position by position, the 9ers win them all. Maybe you give the Falcons WR, but that's it." Really, Kaepernick over Ryan? Davis over Tony G? Their secondary over ours? What about special teams? Surely you're not picking Akers over Bryant.

"The Falcons game last week was their big win, it was their Super Bowl." Not according to anyone in this organization.

"The Falcons weren't respected all season, got the number one seed. They were picked to lose last week, but won. Now they are picked to lose again this week. Eventually, it's not lack of respect, you're just not a good team." WTF was he smoking?

RE: Calm before the storm
It's amazing the things people will come up with to justify their preconceived notions. Most probably don't even realize they are doing it. This is because they are stupid.
