CAN THE SAINTS BECOME A DYNASTY?

No.

LOL. I think so and this is why I personally feel as though there has to be more urgency on the FO's part to counter it. You cannot be a dynasty if we beat you twice a year.

In all honesty, Yes.

As long as you have Brees you can win, He's that good.

I agree. Three Super Bowl wins in this decade would classify them as being a dynasty. With that being said, I'm rooting against it!

What missing piece/pieces are still needed for Saints to become one?

Well as a Falcon Fan, I have to say NO! Well, at least I hope not... Cool

*** ASSHOLE ALERT (IN A JOKING BUT SADISTIC KIND OF WAY)***
I think the Saints can become a dynasty as long as natural disasters keep hitting the area, and the media is able to label them the media darlings and the feel good story year after year...Ok, ok, ok I am done. Sorry.

Honestly, I do no believe they will become a dynasty. Can they become one? Of course, any team can as they have the potential for success. I just believe the team is too lopsided on offense and do not have the defense to hold up to compete as a dynasty.

The NFL isn't designed for teams to dominate for long. Unless the new CBA ends salary caps, I don't think the aints become a dynasty. Just on offense you've got:

Marques Colston, Pierre Thomas, Jermon Bushrod (LT), Carl Nicks (LG), Jonathan Goodwin ©, & Heath Evans due new contracts in 2011.
Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, & Jeremy Shockey due new contracts in 2012.

That's a lot of starters (plus Bush) with expiring contracts and no way you can resign them all unless the NFL stays uncapped. Even if it does, the aints are not a large market team and Tom Benson, never one of the owners willing to spend much money, and will not resign them all.

Just don't see it happening. Similar to us, I think the aints have the potential to have a good run for several years, but not dynasty status.
