CAN THE SAINTS BECOME A DYNASTY?
It's a fair question to objective Falcons posters.
If you do not think so, let's hear your reasoning. What missing piece/pieces are still needed for Saints to become one?

RE: CAN THE SAINTS BECOME A DYNASTY?
I think it's possible, but you need a couple more pieces. Now I will admit I'm not an expert your roster but here goes.
I would say you need at least one more good LB to go along with Vilma. You also need another guy in the secondary that's good and reliable (assuming Sharper doesn't come back after this season). Finally I would say you need a better rb. Thomas is good and gets the job done but I think it would make you much more dangerous if you had a top tier rb. Pros: Really smart coach Best QB in the league right now Really good o-line If you think I'm way off base don't shoot me, just trying to share my slightly informed opinion.

RE: CAN THE SAINTS BECOME A DYNASTY?
God I hope not..... they're good, I'll give em that. I think the Falcons are building themselves to take the aints with the speedy defense and all. I absolutely despise every team in the great New Orleans area. Every time a team from that area wins a championship, I die a little on the inside. As far as what you need to become a dynasty..... that is left to be discovered. It is only week 1.5 of the NFL season and you played a Viking team with a lot of question marks around their identity. I think if we revisit this thread into week 6 or 7 of the season we will all probably see where we are at in terms of what to expect/where we lack/etc...

RE: CAN THE SAINTS BECOME A DYNASTY?
They could very well become a dynasty and they have all the pieces too, young players with some of the best coaches. The only thing I can see stopping them right now (apart from injuries but thats a crap reason) is the Falcons. If the Falcons manage to win the division every now and then I dont think you could call the Saints a dynasty if they arent winning the division, hmm unless both the Falcons and Saints make the playoffs all the time and the Saints advance further. I dont know now tbh lol but I still think its rests with the Falcons lmao. Other reason I just thought of and will add in here is the strength of the NFC teams right now and Coaches moving on to higher positions with other teams but even then Sean Payton will keep your guys competitive
![]() Either way with the Saints at the top and the Falcons rising (excuse the pun lol) this rivalry has really gained some momentum which is awesome for the South

RE: CAN THE SAINTS BECOME A DYNASTY?
Man, you guys are waayyy too honest in here hahahaha.
I remember posting this same thread when I registered on AFMB way back in '06 and got hammered. I was called out for proclaiming a dynasty when I merely pondered the question out loud. So let's get it straight right now- I AM NOT PROCLAIMING A DYNASTY, just pondering the possibility. (09-15-2010 04:33 AM)hitwriter Wrote: TV show from the 80's called Dynasty! RE: CAN THE SAINTS BECOME A DYNASTY?
I am one Saints fan who thinks it's silly to use the word 'dynasty' at this point.
But, if we repeat, I'm tatooing the word on my forehead. |
