But with just releasing Turner, Abe, and Dunta, the guys on the radio are going over the numbers with DLed and he's saying we are re-signing Baker, Moore, and Grimes while then having enough for Tony and at least one decent size FA. However he doesn't think Tony is coming back so he says we'll have plenty for 2 good FA's. Also says he thinks we renegotiate Blalock, don't re-sign McClure, and re-do Matt's contract with an extension that is cap friendly over the next few years.

Edwards created dead $ and if you look and did some research on your own some of contracts from last year are not the same . Take Blalock for example who spike so your dumb idea of Ray Edwards is cut 5 mil off but if you look there are contracts/ cap hits that spike from last season


Now with Cut of Abe Falcons will have 28 mil give or take and just another hole to fill

Yea from my calculations and Schefter reporting we saved 18.5 mil by making those 3 cuts. So by my calculation and the salary cap increase we have 29 mil to use.

Don't worry about me hurting Aftermaths feelings. He's a big boy and doesn't need you sticking up for him. He goes overboard with exaggerations and by saying "get educated" I was referring to the couple articles that are out there explaining in detail where we are with the cap and what we could do to make it possible to sign everyone we want.

And obviously now, it's clear that aside from Abe being cut, most of what he said was incorrect and what I said was right. Although I thought we would renegotiate Dunta and not re-sign Grimes, but that was because I didn't know Grimes was back looking so good. So now it's just a flip-flop from Dunta to Grimes.

We're going to be $27M under the cap and probably a bit more once were done. That's plenty to do everything we want.

Hypothetically, maybe Arthur has made TD/Smith feel that way? Maybe Arthur is tired of waiting and has put TD & Smitty in the hot seat behind closed doors. What care would they have of the Falcons future if it's possible they won't be apart of it...

I am so glad to see we are bringing him in. I predicted a three year deal with it mostly being front loaded and am curious to see if I was right on that detail as well. As long as he has the gas we saw for the Rams left in his tank we'll get a good but not great powerback with good hands for 2 or 3 years.
