Yup. Yesterday they definitely elevated their game in the secondary though. Matt had a rough day but the Bucs were just playing lights out back there, at times.

Pittsburgh is an all-world defense. With a team that starts around the run, playing in their house, in the season opener, I am not surprised he had a bad game.

Tampa has a brutal secondary and their field was slowing everyone down. Not making excuses, but with a QB like Ryan who relies more on anticipation for making throws rather than just going Jay Cutler style and just throwing a rocket to the most open looking player, this can be huge. Ryan throws to players often before they make their breaks while they're still "covered". If they are slipping, slowed down by the conditions, while playing against a strong secondary things are going to be harsh.

The Browns actually have some of the best secondary play in the league. Exceptional play by an exceptional bunch. Go back and watch that game and you'll often see every single one of our receivers locked down all over the field very often.

The Eagles also have a good secondary, but unlike the Browns they are excellent at pressuring the passer. Trent Cole is DPOY material.

Bucs defense was torched by Flacco week prior..

It seems we're arguing two different issues:

1) Ryan definitely had some WTF throws. Most QBs do. Look at Peyton yesterday. How about Brees? Don't see anyone throwing them under the bus. I was disappointed in Ryan yesterday and we WON. How many times, as a Falcons fan, could anyone say that?

2) The Bucs came to play. The shitty field helped 'em for sure but I still give those guys a lot of credit. They made some bigtime plays on D.

Last week I made a thread here saying the Bucs game would be the toughest remaining game and everyone thought I was crazy. I wonder what they think now.

Yeah, that's alright though, it's in the quoted threads and everyone already knows he likes to troll against his own team.

Flacco threw for 280 yards against them ...and if you watched the game the int was a freak int that Talib made on ball caught between his legs and he wasnt in game 3/4 of game vs us ..so Radical you really should watch other games around league to comment instead of looking just at stats
Flacco had a very good game vs a HEALTHY bucs secondary .
