Report: Favre expects to start Sunday vs. Patriots

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- Brett Favre tells ESPN that he expects to start for the Vikings against the New England Patriots in Sunday's game despite two fractures in his left ankle.

The network reported Saturday that Favre said in a telephone interview his injuries have healed significantly and that he plans to start, which would extend his record streak of consecutive regular-season starts to 292 games.

Favre was on the field for drills Friday, with limited participation in practice for the first time this week. He wore a wrap on his injured ankle.

Minnesota coach Brad Childress said Friday he "probably will" wait until the last hours before kickoff to decide whether Favre starts.

The Vikings were on their way to Boston and could not immediately be reached for comment.

How do 2 fractures heal "significantly" in less than 1 week? I swear if I see him limp around again pretending to be hurt Im going to vomit. He is the biggest Drama Queen DIVA EVER in NFL History.

Brad Childress is nothing but his little puppet too. He should bench Favre and start Tavaris but he wont because he's too much of a pussy.

He is just so full of shit. Limping around the way he does, acting like he is so hurt - WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! - then suddenly, miraculously, his fractures heal up in 1 week. His never-ending drama bullshit just makes me sick.

If Childress had any balls he would bench Favre and start Tavaris this week.

And this every off-season crap, faking injury and indecision just so he doesnt have to actually Practice with his team in Training Camp. He is despicable to me. I guess Favre is too Cool and too Legendary to need to spend some time practicing with his own team.

Fact is - this guy has only won 1 SB in all his years, all is consecutive starts, all his INTs. He has admitted to pill-popping, being a vicodin addict, he has cheated on his wife, he basically wasted a Jets football season with his crap play, he cost the Vikings a SB berth with the most bone-headed INT throw Ive ever seen. And this season he is throwing picks left and right to put to the Vikings with a losing record halfway through the season.

And Brad Childress - WTF is this guy doing? He screwed up politicking for Favre and is now paying for it. He called out Favre post-game the other night, and is obviously regretting his decision to bring #4 to lead his team. Minnesota is Imploding and I love watching the destruction unfold. They deserve it.

I have been saying to friends that this is Moss' return and if Brittfarr can find a way to make it about himself he will. Look for him to grimace like he is hurt and can barely go, but if he throws a TD he will hop up and down like nothing is wrong like he did at the end of the Green Bay game, before limping back to the locker room. Brett is just a dranma queen who has got to have his spotlight.
