Bo Scaife would anyone be interested?
Just looking over at the NFL.com unofficial FA list, Bo Scaife was listed there. He's not young but he's not old either. Would anyone be interested in adding Bo to the TE corp in helping out the Passing attack?

I don't have a strong opinion on it but it did pop in my mind "what if?"

Anyways just trying to stir some conversation.

I liked Bo coming out of college and he was productive for the Titans with his shitty former college teammate throwing to him. I'd like it.

I never watched a lot of Titan games with Bo, but how was he in terms of Run/Pass Blocking better/worse/same as, for example, Gonzo last year?

He's definitely more of a receiver than blocker. However, he was on the team when CJ ran for over 2000 yards.

Bo isn't a blocking tight end. That's for sure. But he can definitely stay in and block if he's asked to. I don't think it would hurt at all to add him if we had the money and room on the roster to do so. Of course, this would mean a decrease in playing time for Justin Peelle (Obviously), but again, I don't think that would hurt at all. I've never been a believer that Peelle was or is the answer for the Falcons at tight end even in the short term. Bo wouldn't be the answer long term, but if Gonzo leaves after this season, then we would have Bo, and that could work out great especially if we aren't able to find a young tight end in the draft this coming season.

I'm not a fan of Bo. I think he is just an average TE at best. According to Pro Football Focus' grades last year he was the 59th overall Tight End.

Here is his game by game ratings from last year.

As I said VA Falcon, he's not a blocking tight end, and he really shouldn't be considered or rated as one.
