Agreed I have no problem at all with it. That being said I'm glad we took a knee today at the end.

I didn't care about the Drew Brees situation last year. It didn't bother me so I'm on board with you and Dave, but comparing TG getting 60 yards per game to Drew Brees scoring unnecessarily is WEAK at best.

We didn't even get to the games. There is no blowout or divisional rival. This isn't a massive record AND we may need both games to accomplish.

In Brees situation....he had two games to get 6 yards or so AND didn't he beat Brady by about 240 yards?

I will also say this. There might be some karma going on in regards to this record.

What's sweeter?

A. Brees getting the passing record at home, whilst getting a TD, against your most hated rivals

OR

B. Knocking your most hated rival essentially out of the playoffs, recording a career high against the most rival starting QB of whom dropped a record on u the year before, stopping the consecutive TD streak at the same time, and winning your 1st Super Bowl in your most hated rivals home including a celebration and creating a winter Mardi Gras. **Also egging the most hated rivals bus ;-) **

I'll take the letter "B" Pat!

Watch as it unfolds and I'm not just saying this because of today's win.

yes it's wrong. this is a Falcons board, this thread was about our win today. it had nothing to do with your team until you once again rape us by injecting it in there. this is trolling plain and simple, please stop

I am too, but you knew they would. I got to explain to my kids why we did it, and reinforce lessons about sportsmanship. Small things like this (and Ryan marrying his college sweetheart regardless of the lifestyle his NFL money would have bought him) really resound with my kids, and make me proud to support a team that is lead by such class.

Great stuff, but I have to admit at least part of my reasoning was more self serving - we may have to play these guys again in a few weeks and no sense it poking a stick in their eye at that point.

In this instance I fully agree. I haven't thought this before or always thought this, but this time it resonates.

Absolutely no reason to bring up the Saints and then the claim for it was so off-based.
