This win felt great, but crushing the Saints playoff hopes, and Mr Wobbles record was fantastic.

The Saints playoff hopes are still alive. On life support, but still alive. As for Drew's record, he still owns it. You just stopped its extension. You didn't stop his owning it.

Oh, you mean like the Saints tried to get Drew the passing record last year? Y'all butchered the Saints for that, yet it is OK to do it for Gonzo?

Not being a dick here, but isn't that a bit of double standard? Personally, I feel y'all should do whatever it takes to get him the record.

I didn't have a problem with Brees getting the record. I had a problem that Brees had two games left to do it and they chose to throw it when they were winning big....

This is NOT the same. Tony G isn't breaking and NFL reconrd and I am not saying throw it to him against the Saints when we are up by three touchdowns with a couple of minutes left.....

I would like to see us at least make sure he has an opportunity in the two last games...I didn't say he should do it on National TV and embarrass a team doing it....How is this in anyway like that situation....If we don't need the win or we are up by 3 touchdowns and they put Tony on the Bench I would understand....I may not agree but Smitty could have punched it in one last time for the hell of it today to pad stats.....but he didn't THAT is the DIFFERENCE!

Tony getting 1,000 yards is not a big deal. Brees getting the all time record is another story.

Win next week, I don't see any starters playing the next game except maybe one series.

I hope that isn't the case, hate to see this team after 2 weeks off with nothing to look forward to but the playoffs. Bound to get into their own heads.

I'm actually on the fence about it. I think I enjoyed the win over the Saints more because their fans are so insufferable. But the Giants game was more of a statement game to me. This is a monkey off our back.

Don't forget that Tom Brady was right on his ass. If Payton hadn't kept running it up Drew may not have had a shot at the record the following week. Don't forget that Brady also passed Marino's numbers last year.

No, not reaching at all. Drew had a shot at an all-time record that had two games remaining and Brady was right behind him. If he would have shut it down there was a chance he would never have got it.

I personally feel that the Falcons should feed as much as possible to pad his number these nest two weeks. Why not? He deserves it. Run it up.
