BVG
I want to hear some opinions, do you guys think BVG has the skills to surpass Gregg Williams?
Interested to hear opinions on this, I haven't formed an opinion but Williams is impressive, I think this will be a make or break year for BVG. |

RE: BVG
I think our defense has gotten better and is probably going to far surpass New Orleans defense.
Greg Williams has the Jerry Glanville attitude - be physical - play dirty and do whatever it takes to get the other guy out of the game. They are opportunistic and go for the ball. It's not really that complex of a system he runs over there. They are not even close to the defenses like Pitt or Baltimore or even Chicago - but they are very good at ball hawking - and it makes them successful. I think our defense is going to be very special. I've seen all of our defenses - and I think this group is going to surpass them all before it is over. Only time will tell. ![]()

RE: BVG
One impressive thing about BVG is his talent to disguise coverage...
I think that was a HUGE weak point in BVG last year, but this year he is looking better. |

He hid it so well that I never even saw it.... >_> Sorry I couldn't resist. I do agree he is looking better, but I still wish we had one of those brilliant minds at both coordinator spots. While we have the personnel to make it effective, our schemes just seem so basic to me. Jmho. RE: BVG
Did anyone see his recent interview on AF.com. He spent most of it looking down at the ground while being asked, and answering questions. He looked pissed about something. Of course it may have just been D-Led.
I think he's mixing it up well this year and utilizing the new tools at his disposal to create pressure, but he's a hard read. His history of team hopping made me think of Petrino early on. It seems like 3 years with us is a lifetime compared to his other tenures. We should see great things from the defense this year. If not, it's on him to answer why. |
