You act like the league is out to get your city personally. Does Bud Selig have it in for the Braves and Atlanta? Is it some sort of conspiracy?

Nope. I have pointed this out already once today and that's why I made the analogy ... I have consistently stated that Goodell, in his protection of the NFL, jumped on what he thought was an opportunity to rack up some positive points in the face of the ongoing and increasing concussion suits. He made a huge mistake by believing everything that Mike Cerullo claimed in a factual vacuum and went off half-cocked on the opportunity. The NFL, nor Goodell, conspired against the Saints. I am positive of that. But, the Saints were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They were doing nothing different than virtually every other team in the league, but they just happened to have an ex-employee that stepped in and made claims that were never substantiated and Goodell bit.

Do I believe that Goodell has lied? Hell yes I do. When this got past the point of no return he started hedging his bets and changing his story. It finally got to the point that he was forced to step aside for the league to attempt to save face.
