Atlanta sports fans are finally getting it!!!
It started with the Braves single elimination playoff game. What a horrible call for a pop fly in the middle of the outfield. I was proud of our fans though for throwing crap on the field and causing a major delay in the game.

Now with a fan egging the Saints bus made me just as proud.

It is nice to see fans in this city have enough passion for our sports team that they do things like this.

If you look at it objectively Atlanta sports has been pretty good in the 2000's and even parts of the 90's. We have not been a loser dead beat sport city for quite awhile so it's about time our fanbase started acting right.

Let's see here. What is wrong with this picture? Throwing crap on the field, causing a major delay in a game, and egging a bus owned by an Atlanta company because opposing players were on it.

"made me just as proud"

"it's about time our fanbase started acting right"

Rolleyes

I can think of much better ways to feel proud and act right.

Wow!

It shows that we actually do have fans that care.

Yeah, cause supporting a team that puts bounties out to injure opponents is so classy.

I concur with you Guido....not classy....and that does not show pride....I think people have been getting their values from reality TV again.....

I have read things here about classy fans. You really want to see classy fans? You come down to Louisiana and you will see the Saints logos everywhere. We have them on our doormats, on our street signs, on our everything.

These Saints fans care and have always cared ... without having to reduce themselves to stuff like that. Try filling your stands. Try actually having people show up by the opening kickoff.

Since the very first game that the Saints flew back into New Orleans from away games back in the 1960's the airport entryway has been lined with anywhere from hundreds to thousands of fans ... win or lose ... every week ... rain or shine. This is a tradition and has been for almost fifty years. That type of devotion shows that you care. Having the 90,000 seat Superdome fully packed at kickoff regardless of day or time shows you really care.

Not throwing crap on the field. Not egging opponents. Not causing delays in games due to lack of control.

I am truly sorry, but your definition of caring and mine do not mesh.

This is something that appears to not be able to comprehend thoughtout the whole affair. Try actually catching up on the REAL news other than living in your little bubble.

With all due respect this response is the worst and lacks perspective. Your response is like Romney telling poor people to borrow money from their poor parents to start a business.

We don't have that luxury of having a strong fan base for 50 years. Some of us may not codone the egging but it damn sure feels good to see some passion and hopefully overtime it will turn into something positive, but don't look down on us and fault us for appreciating the passion behind the event even if the event itself is negative.

Try to have some perspective, not all of us are as "privileged" as u were growing up with a strong fan base.
