At The Bye: Falcons D with and without Spoon
I was wondering how our D has performed this season with Spoon in and out of the lineup. This mostly comes from the 63 points allowed in the last 2 games. Here's a breakdown of what I found.
With Spoon:
Without Spoon:
I think it's safe to say that TD made a really good pick this season in the first round and that we need Spoon back and healthy as soon as possible. |

We definitey need Spoon back. He makes the middle of our defense so much more faster and physical.

Good information. It's not just him though, missing Robinson is also very huge. In the 6 1/2 quarters Robinson has missed(along with Weatherspoon), we've given up 652 passing yards and 5 TD.
We need both of these guys back. |

I don't think it is all owed to Spoon, as much as I like the guy. Got one of them there post hoc ergo propter hoc logical fallacy thingymajigs.

They really went after Owens, I can tell that from the 10 tackles he made. Now think if he didn't miss a few how many more he would have had. I think now that we had Dunta, and then lost him, we can see the difference he makes to the team even more. He takes a away a third of the field far more than Owens does |

We need Kroy to play more consistently after the bye as well. He's shown flashes this season (and damn have they been bright flashes) but he's disappeared at times as well. Thankfully Abe has picked things up. |

RE: At The By: Falcons D with and without Spoon
Great research. I think Spoon allows us to open up our defense, and being without a starting OLB like Spoon will hurt a defense.
