Mike Mayock and Charles Davis said it was a good hit. They actually work for the NFL. Good enough for me.

I read an interesting article that suggested players not even wear helmets. And it made sense. Because the more "protective" these helmets get, the more players lead into tackles with their heads. But if you took their helmets away then they wouldnt do that. The tackling styles would be more traditional.

Kind of like the old days when players wore leather helmets. Nobody ever got concussions, and players tackled with their hands and arms and shoulders instead of taking head-first sniper shots.

I'm a conspiracy theorist.

What if this was the boards chance to be able to get the offenses more productive?

Just think about it. People LOVE TD's. TD's make things exciting and get butts in the seats.

Yea Im waiting on the rule that requires every defender to speak a verbal apology to the ball carrier after they are tackled - or else it's a 5 yard penalty and automatic 1st down.
I read where Tom Brady was politicking the refs for "roughing the passer" again, after he got hit by Terrel Suggs. Suggs lit into him... I can only imagine what Suggs had to say.

He asked how he got such volume in his hair and how he dealt with split ends.

Update on the leauge's hypocrisy.

They are selling photos of the Merriweather hit and the Harrison hit on Massaqoi at the NFL photo store.

The league says this oversight will be corrected lol.

Mark Schlerth (sp?) just went total apeshit on sportscenter about all of this. He didn't reference the Harrison photo, but showed on the NFL's website where they sell a video called "moment of impact" about big hits, and talked about how watching the games at home they show replays of big hits like 17 times. Also called it the National Hypocrite League. Glad he can get away with all of that without Err Fuhrer Gooddell hitting his paycheck too.
