RE: All Michael Jenkins do is make the BIG CATCH
Jenkins just got major props from Merril Hodge on sportscenter for his blocking on the play where Turner ran out of our endzone around the corner for a 12+ yard game. He put it on that cool screen they have and showed that Jenkins initial blocking assignment was the corner; however, once Gonzalez motioned over the safety dropped down into the box and Hodge showed that the safety should have immediately become Jenkin's blocking assignment. Sure enough, Jenkins cracked down on the safety and totally sealed the edge along with Gonzo, and Turner scampered around the corner and blew past the corner.

I know you didn't start it.

Bump means reply to a thread that is falling to the bottom of the list in order to put it back on top.

RE: All Michael Jenkins do is make the BIG CATCH
So Jenkins is playing well this year.

Not 5 million a year well, but solid enough.

But....just so I have this straight......because the guy is playing reasonably well this year, we aren't allowed to mention the fact that the guy totally sucked last year, has never had a big receiving game in his entire NFL career, and has been averaging 1 TD per year the last 2 seasons?

Ok...I am going to call it like I see it still.

I suspect the Falcons will still be looking for a WR. Not first probably, first will probably be DE, but they will be looking.

Jenkins would make a helluva TE if he put on 30 pounds.

RE: All Michael Jenkins do is make the BIG CATCH
Then I suppose, Peyton, you didnt see the remarkable difference in our offense once Jenks came back from injury? Maybe you attribute it to Ryan and White just picking their game up, who you have already stated are the only reason our offense is good?

Sorry, I cant get with you on continuing to doubt Jenks.

I have defended this guy for quite a few years now, even before we locked him up in a new contract to stay our number two WR. I am beginning to think this is a case of looking at the salary too much or relying on stats alone to tell the tale. Jenks brings a hell of a lot to this team outside of his catches.

No, he doesnt put up 100 yard games. No, he doesnt score multiple TD catches every game. We have one of the best number one WRs in the league and a hall of fame TE, Jenks doesnt have to have flashy stats. His impact is undeniable, at this point, and he does everything the coaches ask of him.
