I remember last year, someone on AFMB was talking about the fans in the stadium turning their back on opening kick off to have a completely silent stadium. Just to show the players, GM's, and Owners that without the fans, the NFL doesn't exist. We give them revenue. Without us they are fucked

I understood what AP was saying(being a former overworked-lowly-paid dome employee) but i think he simply chose the wrong word. I dont believe he solely meant players(gathered from the whole article)

Fuck 'em. Both sides. Fuck 'em raw and put 'em on a shelf.

Neither side gives a rat's ass about the fans. They never have and they never will.

NOW THAT IS REAL TALK. Man this mess about "gravity of terms" and all that stuff that we the fans do back and forth is meaningless. These guys wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire man. Thats serious.

You have heard me scoff at the idea of keeping guys on the roster because they are "good people". In order to play THIS game there has to be a little ugly somewhere in there. Most, if not every last one of these guys is messed up in some way or another.

Even as the reporter from the original interview said, the context in which it was said was clearly not to compare it to actual slave acts. He said that in the actual interview article, and people still manage to take it out of context.

Idiots.

Theres not too many forms of context you can use the term "slave" without referring to "slaves"

In addition he prefected the term "Modern Day", meaning as opposed to "Old Day". So yea, he was referring to slaves of the past.

If the guy had said indentured servants I'm sure nobody would have said a thing...you can't say modern day slavery but not mean slavery. The whole context of slavery is being forced to work for no pay...this guy made millions with healthcare. It's like that author that tried to sell his book, "Million Dollar Slaves". Get out a job you consider slavery, if you aren't educated (which is foolish considering these guys probably had their schooling paid for) then spend some of those millions on education and change fields. A slave is stuck in his situation unless he buys himself out, completely different from having a boss who's paying you millions. Owners own the TEAM not the player.
