Ryan is a game manager that cant throw or rally a team when they are down by 14 or more or a running game is stopped or when not everything goes his way . It will take more then 1 game for me to believe Ryan turned the corner from game manager to complete NFL QBI think its a mindset if you think he's you absolutely must think he is horrible. Thats just wrong. I really dont like(and stopped) talking about Ryan because im still not sold on the great or elite label given to him, and people seem to turn into vicious jerks if you dont agree that he is. Chad Pennington is a winner in my book. If he wasnt so beaten up he'd still be an option for someone as a starter. Thats the way I see the current QB make up. And as for the Vick assessment, I think now that he's has seen what he can do he wont be turning back. |

Did it against the Giants in 09 to send the game into overtime, and then the defense gave the game away. Try again. |

RE: A question for the Ryan hater's
This just shows that people overrate Matt Ryan like crazy. I compare him to Eli Manning or Matt Hasselbeck and people get pissed because they think he is the next Brady or Manning. Get real. Since when did being compared to Eli and Hasselbeck become a bad thing? Last time I checked both went to the Superbowl and Eli has a ring. People don't want to admit he is similar to them because their expectations for him are so incredibly high and don't wanna face the fact that he may never live up to them.

Or maybe the expectations are realistic, but the pace at which they expect him to be like them and under the circumstances are unrealistic. Matt Ryan's third year stats exceed Brady's 3rd year stats, both third year starting and third year in the league. |

See thats just a weak argument and its really lame to me..are you implying Ryan since he is only in his 3rd year has better stats then Brady in his 3rd year will be better .It just doesnt make any sense Flacco and Sanchez have both lead there teams to PLAYOFF WINS ..you can argue the whole point of they have the better DEFENSE BLAH BLAH but no one here not even me is saying Flacco or Sanchez is better then Ryan they are all bunched together imo Rodgers on the other hand is special do you agree and right now and probably 5 years from now ..Is that a knock on Ryan no Ryan can lead us to a Super Bowl .........FACT he just needs to be in right system and right players around him .. ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . RE: A question for the Ryan hater's
All insults and hatred aside, which Chad Pennington would you compare him too Swifty? The 2002 Chad Pennington that finished with a 102.4 QB rating, 22 TD's, only 6 INTS, and a 68 percent completion rating, or the 2006 Chad Pennington that had an 82 QB rating, missed the playoffs, and had a career high 16 interceptions with 17 TD's? I'm curious as to which one you would put Ryan in the category with, as it's really hard to compare anybody to an up and down player like Pennington without being specific.

Dilfer won a SB w/the right players and a top notch defense around him. Fact is, you don't know how good or bad Ryan is going to be, Ms. Cleo. Not any more than the rest of us. Another fact is, you continue to revel in picking apart his every shortcoming. Enjoy your haterade....

Never said better or worse. Play-off wins are a team stat. I look at each game individually and go from there. Fact is, the Falcons defense gave up 41 points and could stop the Packers a single time. Hardly helps our offense. Rodgers is a 6th year QB who never played until his 4th. Directly comparing him to Ryan is ridiculous. That statement applies to every QB. You think Rodgers would be doing what he's doing with a shitty WR corps? His line is obviously not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. |
