Ryan yes did throw that 1 pass to Roddy ...

but he also threw a duck yesterday..Ryan has shown he can not throw the deep pass on the regular or even open up the field on a consistent basis

That in no means he is a bad QB ..Right now he is a avg QB ..very smart hard work ethic but lacks the physical tools some of the other young QBS have

Two years in and being an average QB is pretty good. Ryan is .4 off in his QB rating so far this year to match Brady's 3rd full year starting. QB's need time to develop.

go look at his stats

Thats what I mean were never going to have a GREAT DEFENSE we need Ryan to be better then Sanchez /Flacco but he hasnt showed he can be much better then them

Unless we get a great defense dont think we can win a super bowl with a avg QB ..

Flacco/Sanchez I think are avg QBS but have potential and I think more potential then Ryan cause of the physical tools and the supporting cast

We did manage to actually beat the Jets last year. We had the same record as the Jets with a much worse defense.

2009 Vs. Cincinnati
Sanchez 12/15, 182 YDS, 1 TD, 0 INT
Greene 21 Carries, 135 YDS, 1 TD
Defense forced and recovered 1 Fumble and intercepted one ball
This one goes more to the running game and the defense than Sanchez.

2009 Vs. San Diego
Sanchez 12/23 100 Yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Greene 23 Carries, 128 YDS, 1 TD
Defense intercepted to balls.
Outgained by his running back, definitely not a game Sanchez led and won.

2009 Vs. Colts
Sanchez 17/30, 257 YDS, 2 TD 1 INT
Defense forced and recovered one fumble.
Only game where running game was non-existent and the Jets lose by 13.

Again I say you, sir, are full of crap.

If you watched the playoffs or every game like I do around the league Sanchez shined in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game
he was also great wildcard weekend..Take a look at Ryan stats and how he hurt us in our first playoff game..Ryan threw a int on his first pass ..

Right now Sanchez is playing great ball to 9tds to 2 ints...He is managing the game right now better then Ryan and that is one of many reasons why Jets are a better football team

We are not the defense Jets are so we need Ryan to be the better QB ..do you agree

I'll admit Sanchez looked good in the first half of the AFC Championship Game. But in the second half, he looked pathetic. Same goes for Sanchez yesterday, the Jets won in spite of Sanchez, not because of him.

Ryan, so far this season, has been the better QB, IMO. Sure, he's thrown more INTs, but he's also had a lot less time to throw the ball. He hasn't exactly had the best play calling, either.

The biggest sign that Ryan is the better QB is his handling of the no huddle. When we run the no huddle, we move the ball effectively.

Not 2 TE formations and Tony G coming off line which his routes slow to develop and allows a defense to blitz and hit Ryan ..

22nd in league in PYA ...that equals no respect and corners jumping short routes and loading box

football is real simple

Hell, if it works on Madden...

Nevermind that teams aren't having to blitz to pressure Ryan. So, keeping a couple of TEs/RBs behind the line of scrimmage to help block only the opposing team's front four means that the safeties are now free to just sit on the deep routes.

The most likely result of your grand scheme would be a checkdown to one of the players that stayed in to block. Irony FTW.

Sanchez is playing right now how Ryan was playing his rookie season ..The Jets arent asking much from Sanchez ..He has same amount of 20+ passes and 1 + more big play then Ryan ..The Jets are asking Sanchez just to do enough cause there defense is great and now with the rebirth of LT and Greene as backup they got a legit ground game..

We are looking more for Ryan this is his 3rd year in system he should be able to carry the team more then he is ..9tds /4ints and avg 235 yards aint carrying this offense

Ryan has been avg this whole year..His best game imo was the Saints game he looked like Ryan of old ...Outside that game I havent been impressed at all and this is suppose to be the year he takes the next step

have you honeslty seen you saw the next step from Ryan

I dunno how big of step you are expecting, but Ryan is on schedule to again increase his TD's and drop his interceptions.

if I was to ask you look at Ryan rookie year and then look at Ryan now

have you seen a improvement in his game ?

real simple question ..lets not blame Mularkey here , Lets not blame wrs, or Turner

when watching Ryan play football can you say to yourself wow he really has improved from his rookie year ..? I cant to be honest and while on the honest trip Ill say he doesnt look as good as his rookie year

Yes. He is being asked to do more, and has not been throwing as many interceptions, and should be increasing his pass yards, etc. Pocket presence and knowledge of the game are coming to him, but we can't be demanding him to be winning us a Superbowl and be a perennial Probowler after 37 games.
