I'm a big fan of Peelle. Real big, but he is 31 years old. I doubt he'd be a long term replacement for anyone. I definitely want him on this team though.

RE: 2010 Draft Redux
Why the heck would we want to replace Spoon??!!?? Get real, Spoon will be a staple of the defense for years, and right now we have an up and coming TE in Palmer who is getting tutored by the best TE in the biz Tony G. Now if you had said DE maybe you would get some traction, but the future needed Spoon to be drafted much more than a TE any day. Peterson will NOT be around much longer, so we needed depth to replace him which is either Spoon or Nicholas, imo. If we didn't draft Spoon then when Peterson left we would have had a hole that had to be filled by either another FA or rookie, not what I want to happen. At least this year Spoon has Lofton and Peterson to keep him in place, as well as an able backup in Nic.

Our TE position will be fine with Palmer and Peele for awhile. Our biggest needs right now are DE, OL and possibly WR, and while we may draft another TE this year don't expect it to be super high unless someone really great drops into their hands during the draft.

Ignorance can be educated.....Stupidity is to the bone.

OL isn't a need. The rest I pretty much agree with.

RE: 2010 Draft Redux
in a realistic sense, I'm not sure why they chose Moeaki over Gresham. Both having equally good years, but Gresham was chosen either two or three picks after us. If I had to go back and do it again without taking Spoon (I still would), it would either be Brian Bulaga, Dez Bryant, or Devin McCourty.

haha really?

When he was healthy he played in 1 full game and he was a rookie. But look back at that Dolphins game and you will see him drawing constant double teams.

I'm not saying he's good right now, but a lot of people may be retracting their statements once they give him and HD time to recouperate from their injuries.

Patience is a virtue.

That last line will draw a lot of long time fans comments...blah blah blah. Me too!

One of my well-known traits is my lack of patience.

OL?? Really?? McClure retiring, Dahl, Clabo, and Blaloch all in contract years, with Baker playing inconsistent?? We have 2-3 untried rookies on the rooster who haven't any real game experience, with the current crew doing good, BUT for longer passes watch how many max protects we use and Ryan still gets hit. Before we started keeping a TE in to help block, Ryan consistently got 2 seconds to throw(check the tread by Tandy), and the mere fact he was still making good throws shows the quality of QB Ryan is, more than our line.

OL is a need, no doubt, and if a stud falls to late first round, watch for Atl to take them if a better DE doesn't fall.
