There's absolutely no way you couldn't put Jake Long as a Top 5 LT in the NFL... You may not have him there... but Trent Dilfer probably doesn't have us as a Top 5 team either. |

Ryan Clady and Joe Thomas compete against him as the best, but 8 or 9? I would love to hear these names and then tell you exactly why you are dead wrong. Michael Roos, Titans OK, I will put Jake Long 6th.....but I would also say that is probably the worst list of Top Left Tackles in the history of the NFL.......its god-awful. If you want to move Jake Long up that list - fine. Bottom-line, if franchise left tackles are worth $50 then franchise QBs are worth $200. As important as having a franchise left tackle might be - its not even close. |

RE: 2008 Draft Revisited - the poor Miami Dolphins.....
Getting back to the spirit of the original post, I think the OP is dead on.
We were jilted by Parcells. Arthur Blank had a lot of egg on his face. Vick lied, Petrino betrayed and then Parcells made Blank look like a bride waiting at the altar. At this darkest moment, the light went on. Blank hired Accorsi and everything has gone right since. A young kid was hired off the internet and an unknown coach was brought along. The first draft was brilliant. The franchise QB was drafted and a decent LT was added for good measure. And let's not forget Curtis Lofton. Yeah, the Falcons came out way ahead of the Dolphins that year. Their current state of affairs is prove positive. |
