Oakland didn't have an alarm go off when a guy shows up 20+ lbs overweight to the most important work-out of his life.

The Chargers didn't have a light go off when everyone and everything around Leaf pointed to him having the disposition of a lit firecracker.

I haven't research Bruce very much, and there is a lack of info to find in a time where the internet wasn't around.

There IS a science to it, but simply saying that position X has a X% of not working out based off their draft position is retarded. Based off that logic, the Lions shouldn't have drafted Suh, our 2008 season shouldn't have happened, and Tom Brady doesn't exist.

What it ultimately boils down to is whether or not you believe Thomos Dimitroff and his scouting department know what they're doing. Quite frankly, I don't know of very many people who can legitimately stand up and make an argument otherwise.

totally agree. some things should be obvious to even untrained eyes, LOL but that old 'can't see the forest for the trees' thing comes to mind. i do agree with you about "the percentage of success at that position is" being totally retarded...i'd put more faith in saying "a Heisman winner is less likely to be successful in the NFL" personally LOL

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

We weren't going to find a lock at pick 32 next year anyway so I'm not worried. Julio's talent combined with his work ethic puts him as close to being a lock as you can get.

I agree, and while this was a high stakes trade, there could not have
been a better time to make the move.

Some players tear up the NFL from day one, simply
because the have it.

I was so pissed off at the deal, and the one thing that changed my mind
is that when you compare JJ to Matt Ryan as Draft Picks, JJ would be the safer pick.

But Ryan was a great pick too.

Ok I am popping out of my cave to give my opinion on the big trade.

It probabaly won't be a surprise to anyone.....but I loved the trade.

It's hellarisky but I always thought the team had a real need for another playmaker (or two) last year and this is exactly the type of guy they needed. Not only a speed guy, but a YAC guy who can break a tackle on a WR screen or slant.

The 5 TDs in a row against GB sucked, but I thought it was a bit of an aberation. I really thought WR was the second greatest need on the team still behind DE. Hopefully the Falcons can land a productive and disruptive DE in the offseason, and they still need a nickel if they can find it as well.

That's doable. Don't know that there was a slam dunk of a DE they could have gotten in the draft, which is why I like the Jones trade. I think he is pretty close to sure thing. I know the league is littered with "sure thing" WRs that turned into colossal busts, but this guy has all the tools and the work ethic too, I just can't see it happening.

I was wondering what your take would be Peyton, I remember you being a big advocate last year for drastic improvement at the wr position.

ok not one to go off topic, but chuck norris posted about julio's number being 11, and got that pic in your sig with JJ in a #11 throwback jersey that is super badass

Yeah I saw it.
It looks really smooth, I just don't have that render, but I can wait for the real deal.
