D. Franks

Went to the afternoon practice and he looks real good. I know it wasn’t in pads but he just looks like he is
ready to compete already. Now he did have one play where he misplayed the ball but he was right there on just
about every play his way. He had to do pushups b/c he didn’t come up with an INT he should’ve had. The whole
secondary and defense looks good. Mike P had a good day too. He hit Turner in the helmet and would’ve taken him
out if it was a real game. And of course he was talking smack. Sounded like he told Turner he was just getting
warmed up and it was towards the end. And the next play he was in the backfield. Grimes and Owens both did good.
It’s gonna be tight between those two.

Falcons unveil their secondary logo: ATL

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons unveiled a new “ATL” logo recently.

“We established out own secondary logo in conjunction with the league,” said Jim Smith, the team’s chief marketing officer. “What we wanted to do was find something that was uniquely Atlanta. So when we started looking around, everybody in this country knows that the three letters A T L stand for Atlanta. So we wanted to find a way to capitalize on that.”

The Falcons sent their design to the league office and it was approved.

Fans can purchase the apparel exclusively at training camp or on the website: Falcons365.com

Robinson pulled hamstring?

I wasnt able to attend the 2nd practice today, but I got a text msg from a good friend of mine ;) and he said Robinson pulled his hamstring today. Says Roddy was running a post and Robinson was beat and tried to catch up and pulled his hamstring. Wish I was there to actually see it but my source is VERY reliable. Was wondering why nobody posted anything about this. Or did I not see the post?

Also…If your going to the Sunday morning practice this is a heads up…Its a special teams practice. ( Which means it will kinda be boring and no real action. Just a lot of balls being kicked and caught and some scheme for special teams defense. Nothing special…Lol! Just wanted to give u guys a heads up.
