Defensive Hat Trick for Falcons

It requires spending some money… (Julius Peppers)
It requires trading back 5-10 spots… (Sean Weatherspoon)
It requires trading up 10-20 spots… (Perrish Cox)

I believe those three moves combined would change the Falcon defense in a very meaningful way….

Listen to this loaded team:

DE-John Abraham DT-Jonathan Babineaux DT-Peria Jerry DE-Julius Peppers
WLB-Sean Weatherspoon MLB-Curtis Lofton SLB-Stephen Nicholas

CB-Chris Owens CB-Perrish Cox

FS-Thomas DeCoud SS-William Moore

CJ 22

Hey everyone hope alls well.

Was on twitter and had Chevis as one i follow, and didn’t know. Should we keep him or cut him? What’s his Up side? Sure looks like he had regressed from his Rook to 2nd year (or first however you guys track it). Does he stay if Houston or Hill get cut?

Just wondering about some of the guys on our squad. Just looked like a lot of our topics of lately have been Tye Hill, C. Houston, Peppers, Drafting a CB, ect…

Alright take it easy forum.

for the Peppers lovers

All of you Peppers lovers do realize that he will command Albert Haynesworth money. last year, people were drolling over the idea of getting AH, today, most fans are glad we didn’t. both of these players are similar in terms of their impact and profile. just be careful what you wish for.

Stallworth

Wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth received good news on Friday when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced during his annual Super Bowl news conference that Stallworth would be reinstated into the league at some point after Super Bowl XLIV. Where Stallworth plays next season, though, appears to be another issue.

Citing an unnamed source, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns will release Stallworth upon reinstatement, although a formal announcement may not come immediately.

Stallworth, who was under the influence, struck and killed a pedestrian while driving on a causeway connecting Miami and Miami Beach on March 14, 2009, resulting in his suspension from football. He served 24 days in jail and was placed on house arrest.

The Plain Dealer’s report says the Browns’ decision would be made by March 20, because if Stallworth is on the 80-man roster on that date — which is the 15th day of the 2010 league year — he would earn a $1 million roster bonus that Cleveland has no intention of paying him.”

Hm.. he will for sure not be with the browns next season… and taking account that he is just being reinstated back to the nfl im sure he will not cost a fortune.. Whats your opinion on giving this guy a shot at being maybe our 3rd WR behind White and Douglas( if he returns to full form this season)

Falcon fever in Syracuse, New York?

So I spent today and yesterday in Syracuse, New York on an official college visit to see how much I liked Syracuse University and everywhere I turned there seemed to be an ironic connection to the beloved Falcons. A kid on the tour with me with from Atlanta and actually had season tickets to the dome. (His father was one of those high end, rich looking guys so I could tell why) and then I went to the mall there (It’s pretty big) and every sports store had Falcons stuff which is no surprise but one store had an older couple who were buying Syracuse things and Saints thing. The man had a Saints garbage can and a Syracuse shirt in hand and I joked: “I think you’d be better off getting a Saints shirt and a Syracuse garbage can, that way you had a new garbage can and a place to put your Saints stuff.” And he laughed and was really nice about it, and actually used to have Saints season tickets until Katrina, so he moved back up here. I told him I was an Atlanta fan and he said he used to LOVE the Falcons games down in NO. Can’t say being a Cuse fan makes up for being a Saints fan, but he was a pretty nice guy. I guess nice people just make stupid mistakes sometimes, huh? P
